As a writer for the English-language Wikipedia with over 10,000 edits, I contributed to a variety of articles, mostly on life sciences and Canadian issues. I was the primary author of the Sea Otter article and brought it to Featured Article quality. It was “Today’s Featured Article” on the Wikipedia main page on March 24, 2008.
I have also community administration behind the scenes at Wikipedia, and have given public talks on how Wikipedia works. One of my presentations, Dynamics of Wikipedia was featured on the Slideshare.net home page in December 2007. It is a presentation for the Vancouver User Experience Group (VanUE) describing the inner workings of Wikipedia and its editor community.
